The Beginning
Athena speaks with Odysseus as he leaves his family to go to war. We see the victory of the Greeks over the Trojans and Odysseus sets sail for home.



The Wanderings
Odysseus wanders the sea seeking Ithaca while Penelope fends off the Suitors at home.

The Lotus eaters
Something strange has befallen these people.



Cyclops, the one eyed ogre
Odysseus and his men hide under sheep’s bellies to escape the blinded Cyclops.



Aeolus and the bag of winds
Great winds are released and Odysseus is blown away.



Responsibility
Odysseus must face his predicament.

The Grace of the Witch Circe
Odysseus and Circe come to an agreement.

A Gathering of Shades- the visit to the underworld
Odysseus visits the dead. He hears a prophecy.



Sea Perils and defeat.
Odysseus and his men face the Scylla, Sirens, Wandering Rocks and Charybdis.

Calypso the Sea Nymph
Odysseus bewitched still longing for home. Hermes brings the message to send him home.

Storm
Odysseus escapes the island of Calypso only to be caught in one of Poseidon’s storms. With help from Nausicaa, Odysseus survives to find Ithaca.

A Hero comes home
Odysseus returns to Ithaca. His old nurse Euryclea recognizes him, but the secret is preserved. With the test of the bow: Odysseus defeats the suitors, bringing his family back together again. Then the Goddess Athena prevents war, and Odysseus returns to his former life. But is he content to stay home?

Scenes including the sailing boat, the giant Cyclops, Circe and her wine, the Sirens, Odysseus and the shades, Euryclea recognizing the disguised Odysseus by the scar on his leg, Penelope and Odysseus reunited, and Anthena preventing war with the suitors families. These scenes among others formed our version of Odysseus' travels.
