Co|Motion Dance Theater has been a frequently requested Artists in Schools/Communities company since 1978. The company bases its successes on clear communication with cooperating teachers, other faculty and staff; excellent planning well before the residency; extensive knowledge of dance technique; well qualified dancers who can also teach to a specific age/experience level; excellent ability to control students in a positive manner.

The company generally starts the residency with a performance for the whole school including a question/answer session. The dancer/teachers then move to working with classes. The company of 3 professional dancers can individually teach up to 5 different classes each day for sessions between 30-60 minutes (depending on age level). After school, the company does its own class and rehearses for up to 3 hours. All classes and rehearsals are open to the school and public for observation. Interested students and community members may inquire about participating in company class.
